Satan: 'That's a beautiful thing'

An online article with the headline, "The surprising downsides of being clever" says, "A tendency to rely on gut instincts rather than rational thought might also explain why a surprisingly high number of Mensa members believe in the paranormal . . .  If you’ve been able to rest on the laurels of your intelligence all your life, it could be very hard to accept that it has been blinding your judgement."

Daniel 2: [47] The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

"The God of the Bible is a revealer of secrets. He wants to make Himself known; He's not trying to hide.

"The famous atheist, Bertrand Russell, was once asked, 'What are you going to do if when you die there is a God and you face Him? What are you going to say?' Russell answered, 'I'm going to say, Sir, why did you make it so hard to find you?'

"That's an arrogant attitude. You know, 'I just can't see you; where are you? Why are you hiding?' That's just stupid. The God of the Bible reveals Himself. That's what the Book's about," explains Richard Jordan.

Ezekiel 28: [1] The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

[2] Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
[3] Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee:

"When Satan says, 'I'm wiser than Daniel; there's no secret,' he's saying, 'Daniel knew secrets that God gave him, but I know more than Daniel.' He's saying, 'I know more about the mind of God than the God who revealed Himself to Daniel.'

"The whole issue with Satan is going to be that. Satan never contended with God, the Creator, about being the Almighty. That's the piddly little stuff that humans do. It was, 'Just because you're the Big Guy doesn't mean you have the right or the wisdom to exercise the power.'

"The issue's always been wisdom. Satan's ploy was, 'I'm the one who's smarter; I know more about . . .' In Satan's mind, he's smarter, he's more beautiful. Look at verse 7:

[7] Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.

"I love that expression 'the beauty of thy wisdom.' When Satan looked at his wisdom he said, 'That's a beautiful thing.' And it was in his wisdom that his beauty, his value, his esteem's located.

"You notice he called him 'the terrible of the nations.' I like that. That's in Isaiah 14:12: [12] How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

"When God instituted nationalism and separated the nations at the Tower of Babel, the whole plan was if you separate everybody, they're harder to conquer. God set the nations up for the protection of nations.

"The Adversary's plan is to weaken them; bring in one language, one religion, one people, all under one control. He calls it 'the terrible of the nations' because he's destroying the nations."
