Seventh head is Antichrist, not Rome

One of the most oft-quoted verses in the Bible is Revelation 17:5: [5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The passage goes on:

[6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
[7] And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
[8] The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
[9] And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
[10] And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

"The seven-headed dragon represents seven wicked empires that have existed throughout Israel's history," explains Alex Kurz. "The ultimate satanic policy of evil is to empower and control the seven wicked empires for the purpose of persecuting and oppressing the woman who has the crown of 12 stars, the nation of Israel.

'Those seven empires occupied a specific land mass. The seven-headed monster involves the seven specific territories being dealt with in Revelation.

"Egypt, the first head, will be in the picture. The second head was Assyria. The third kingdom was Babylon. The fourth was Media-Persia. The fifth was Greece, divided into four divisions. Not only did Daniel predict the four-fold division of the Greek Empire, history affirms it.

"The specific division dealt with is the northern part. That's No. 6. Number five was Greece and No. 6 is an offshoot of the Greek Empire and the scriptures describe it as Magog, which is modern-day Turkey. What or who is the seventh head?

Revelation 13:7: [7] And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

"You see it says 'it was given unto him'? It's a person! This beast is not the revived Roman Empire. We understand why the great saints and scholars of the 18-1900s always interpreted the beast as Rome. But it's an individual. The dragon's going to give HIM his power and his seat.

"We find out that the seventh head is the Antichrist as he functions in the first half of the week, the man of sin. He's going to be assassinated in the middle of the 70th Week and then . . .

Revelation 17:11: [11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

"Wait a minute--is it a seven-headed dragon or is it an eight-headed dragon? The sixth head representing the northern kingdom engages in a land battle with the south and guess who's stuck in the middle of the conflict? Poor little Israel.

"The seventh head represents the man of sin. He dies in the middle of the week, he's resurrected and he now is No. 8, which is of the seven. It's going to be the son of perdition."
