Serving Baal and Ashtaroth

“Embedded within the secret teachings of Babylon is a code—one based on satanic power—to control money, government, and humanity. This secret has been passed down from generation to generation through occult societies with an untold number of different names. Remember, it’s all about subterfuge and secrecy," writes Paul McGuire and Troy Anderson in their 2015 book, The Babylon Code: Solving the Bible's Greatest End-Times Mystery

"One of the most powerful truths in the Bible is that money, economics, business and commerce are at their very foundation spiritual systems . . . This was commonly known in ancient Babylon and had been passed down through the various empires such as Egypt, Greece and Rome, and institutions such as the international banking system set up by the Bavarian Illuminati in the late 18th Century.

“The very wealthiest people in the world are fully aware of this, and that is why the select few who actually control the world’s wealth belong to organizations such as Skull & Bones, Bohemian Grove, and the Bilderberg Group. The elite understand that ultimately the economy is connected to a Luciferian spiritual-economic system . . ."

“When your Bible talks about profane, it’s not talking about four-letter cussing words. Profane in the Old English was the idea of secular, human viewpoint, world-thinking. There’s the profane and the sacred," explains Richard Jordan.

“The old wives’ fables are the old, tradition-based stories being told by wives. The authority for the tale is tradition and the source is these women.

“You remember the verse in II Timothy 3 where he talks about ‘silly women': [6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

“You remember in chapter two, he says, [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

“Here’s a whole system built on women teaching things and where that leads you, in connection with the Baal worship, is back to Jeremiah 44 and Judges 2. This goes all the way back to the very beginning of your Bible.

“In Judges 2, the nation Israel has come out of Egypt, out of the wilderness and into the land to be established there. Joshua has died, the judges are going to rule and Israel is in complete apostasy already.

“Reviewing the history, Judges 2 says: [8] And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
[9] And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.
[10] And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

“You’ve got a new generation that comes along who doesn’t know Moses, doesn't know Joshua, doesn't know all the things God did for Israel.

Verses 11-12: [11] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
[12] And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.

“All that stuff in Baal worship about bowing and kissing the calves, they get involved in all of that. Verse 13: [13] And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

“Ashtaroth is a female deity, the goddess associated with Baal, the male god. Judges 10:6: [6] And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.

“That female deity has a title in your Bible. Jeremiah 44: [15] Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
[16] As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
[17] But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

“The Jews have been carried away captive into Babylon and now he’s talking to another remnant of Israel who are associated down in Egypt. These Jews have fled the Promised Land and gone south trying to get away from the captivity.

“So their estimation of how to decide what truth is by looking and saying, ‘We did this and we prospered, so we’re not going to pay any attention to what you say, Jeremiah. We don’t care what God’s Word says. We’re going to go by our tradition and what we’ve always done.’ ”
