Genesis-style giants in Ohio?

“According to the 1881 History of Licking County, Ohio, in 1824, an excavation of a prehistoric fort on the river bank adjacent to the Homer Cemetery revealed a very large human skeleton,” writes Mark Sebastian Jordan on the website Knoxpages.

“It is stated that the jawbone would go over the face of the largest man present, with two hands placed between . . . To unpack that information a little bit, the Homer Cemetery is on the west side of the village, across the street from the public library.

“The cemetery sits on a bluff which may also have been the location of the ‘fort’ described. Modern researchers would conclude that the earthwork was more likely a sacred temple, considering that such structures are sometimes found containing ritualistic artifacts but rarely any evidence of battle.

“ . . . In May of 1885, the Newark Advocate reported on the discovery of two giant skeletons in Homer: ‘A few days since, one of the residents of Homer in passing through a field accidentally saw some human bones protruding from the earth in a sidehill, which proved to be of gigantic size.’

“Upon further excavation, two large skeletons were revealed, both large enough for the skulls to completely encase a modern adult male's head with room to spare.

“A report in the New York Times, datelined Centerburg, says that the initial find was made by Homer schoolboys and that subsequent digging by adults turned up two more skeletons and numerous flint artifacts. The Times article states that three of the skeletons were measured in excess of seven feet in height, while the largest was over eight feet tall.

“One thing is certain, though: If there was once a class of giants, central Ohio was their sacred center. More mounds, earthworks, and reports of these finds come from here than anywhere else. This was once the spiritual center of an entire culture's world.”

Daniel 2: [42] And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
[43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

"You read that and you say, ‘Well, what in the Sam Hill is that talking about?’ says Richard Jordan. "These 10 toes, in Revelation 17 you see them over there with the Antichrist and they work with him; they’re the 10 kings.

Rev. 17: [12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
[13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
[14] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
[15] And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
[16] And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

“These 10 kings bring the Antichrist to power, serve with him, function with him, are joined at the hip with him. But they’re kind of odd deals.

“Can you think of a time when something like that from Daniel 2 might have happened? I can think of two—Genesis 6 and the Book of Jude.

“I remind you that Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24, [37] But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

“Genesis, around chapters 4 and 11, covers 2,000 years like that. There are a couple of reasons for that. One, God is giving you an identification of the way He structured the world to function; the course of the world to operate. It’s also giving you a dispensational picture of what life and society and things are going to be like in the days of Noah.

“In the days of Noah things are bad. Man had become so contrary to what God’s intention was that He’s ready to wipe them out. Where did that come from?

“Genesis 6: [1] And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
[2] That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
[3] And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
[4] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

“In the Old Testament, ‘sons of god’ are angels. Why would the angels take them wives? One reason would be to mingle their seed with them, as Daniel 2 describes. Lo and behold, verse 4, ‘And there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that,’ meaning they came again after the Flood.

“You’ll see their offspring were building a very advanced civilization. These guys had enhanced intellect and ability.

“You could have gone to one of their big cities--maybe visit Enoch that Cain built--and they would have had a Museum of Science and Industry, a Field Museum, a symphony hall, an auditorium theatre. Part of that came from this issue of the angelic invasion mingling with them and it created giants. Not just giants physically but mentally.

“That’s going to happen again in ‘the last days’. The seed of the woman was the threat and because you don’t know who it is, who do you have to get? All of them. In Genesis 6, they got them all except one man and his family. He was perfect in his generations. Noah and his family were all there was that hadn’t been contaminated.

“In genetic engineering labs they figured out years ago how to fertilize a woman’s egg with cells from her own body. In the '70s they produced what they called a virgin-born frog and said, ‘There’s the virgin birth.’ The point is, don’t be so surprised that these guys knew how to do this long before.

“The ‘strange flesh’ at Sodom (Jude 6-7) were the sodomites who wanted to have sexual relationships with the angels (who are always men) that came to visit Lot.

“Revelation 12:9: [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

“Notice Satan and his host are cast out of their positions and government in heaven and cast down to earth. Verse 12: [12] Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

“Notice where he’s living now. He’s doing exactly what they did in Genesis 6—he’s coming down! And that host comes down here and there’s these gates they come through so they function where we are in this realm. It’s going to be a repeat.

“Why didn’t it get to the place after the Flood that it got to before the Flood when these angels again came to do the same thing?

"Satan doesn’t do these things just to be doing them. His purpose is to thwart what God’s doing. Before the Flood, the seed of the woman was the threat to Satan. He was going after all of the women because he didn’t know which was the seed line.

“After the Flood, God takes the seed of the woman and makes it the seed of Abraham. Now, the only seed that’s a threat to Satan is that seed. So while he began to go after the seed of the woman after the Flood, when it became unnecessary to do that he quit doing that and, instead, focused on the seed of Abraham.

“This is a great illustration of how when God changes the program, Satan matches what God’s doing because what he’s interested in is stopping what God’s doing where the point of battle is.”
