"Deuteronomy 32 is the national anthem of the nation Israel. It’s the song of Moses, but it’s actually a prophetic song and it’s Israel’s history written in advance. It focuses on the fact that the nation Israel became a foolish nation, forsook God, and here’s the things going to happen to them because of it.
"Deuteronomy 32: [23] I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend
mine arrows upon them.
[24] They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured
with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of
beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
[25] The sword without, and terror within, shall
destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of
gray hairs.
"He’s talking about things that are going to come upon Israel
in that 70th Week of Daniel in those ‘last days,’ and part of it has
to do with the issue of the beast of the field and the poison of a serpent.
“In other words, they’re going to face physical trauma and
physical attacks. They’re going to flee into the wilderness and be hiding out
there and yet the wilderness itself is going to turn on them.
“Leviticus 26: [21] And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not
hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to
your sins.
[22] I will also send wild beasts among you, which
shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in
number; and your highways shall be desolate.
“This is the third one of these courses of chastisement. Another one is in verses 16 and 17:
[16] I also will do this unto you; I will even
appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume
the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for
your enemies shall eat it.
[17] And I will set my face against you, and ye shall
be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye
shall flee when none pursueth you.
“Burning ague is a burning fever in your eyes. If you want
to see all that, read the Book of Judges. What happens is Israel plants and
raises their crops only to have the Gentiles come in and take it away from
them.
“The diseases that are among the Gentiles, placed upon them
because of their rejection of God and going on in their own way, come and are inflicted
upon Israel, which wouldn’t have had to suffer those things if they had walked
in obedience to the Lord.
“What you read in verse 21 is God saying, ‘I’m going to
turn creation and nature against you.’ Now, each one of these things gets more
intense. One course doesn’t go and stop. Each one stays there and gets the next
one added on.
“Part of what’s going to be happening in the tribulation period is they’re going to face creation itself being turned on them and attacking them.
“Some of this stuff you can spiritualize, but it’s better to
take your Bible literally unless you just can’t. If it says ‘as’ or ‘like,’ that’s
obviously a comparison. But when it just says it outright it’s better to just
let it be what it is because in spiritual warfare, the physical is used to
represent and to accomplish the unseen world’s goals.

“Jeremiah is a prophet about the beginning of the first course
of captivity and he’s going to talk about why it happens to Israel and what’s
going to happen because of it.
“Jeremiah 8: [9] The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and
taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
“That’s a great question. If you reject God’s Word, what
hope do you have in dealing with problems?
[10] Therefore will I give their wives unto others,
and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least
even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the
priest every one dealeth falsely.
[11] For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of
my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
[12] Were they ashamed when they had committed
abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush:
therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation
they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
[13] I will surely consume them, saith the LORD:
there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf
shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
“With these attacks that come against the nation Israel in the tribulation, the 'little flock' is not going to be harmed by all of them.
"Revelation 6: [7] And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard
the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
[8] And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his
name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given
unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with
hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
"They’re literally going to be able to take all of these
forces and attack the nation Israel and what these signs are is when that
attack comes on Israel, the Believing Remnant is not going to be hurt by those
judgments that come. They’re going to have a power against them.
“Revelation 8: [10] And the third angel sounded, and there fell a
great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third
part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
[11] And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and
the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters,
because they were made bitter.
[12] And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part
of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of
the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for
a third part of it, and the night likewise.
[13] And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through
the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters
of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels,
which are yet to sound!
“Wormwood is a poison. This judgment that God sends against
the nation Israel to purge out the rebel--part of it has to do with drinking something
that will kill you.”
