The burden of the 'desert of the sea'

Here is an article from last year as I keep working on new one--sorry for false advertising and will have tonight instead:

"God is talking to the mystery aspect of the prince of Tyrus; He's talking about an Antichrist out there.

Ezekiel 27: [21] Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.

[22] The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
[23] Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assur, and Chilmad, were thy merchants.
[24] These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.
[25] The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.

"The whole chapter talks about all of these merchants. We find in Revelation 18 that when Babylon the Great has fallen, you know what the merchants do? They wail, cry, their wealth comes to an end. They're crying because no one is buying their products anymore: 'I can't sell it anymore; Babylon's fallen.'

"This whole region is importing. You ever been to Dubai? They're importing because they're exporting the one commodity everybody needs. Oil. And they are so incredibly rich.

I Kings 10:15: [15] Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

[16] And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

"Here is a description of these kings of Arabia that bring to Solomon gold and silver. Are there gold and silver mines in Arabia? Where did they get it? Importation.

II Chronicles 9:13-14: [13] Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;

[14] Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

"Oh, boy, what number is that? 666. We know exactly what this foreshadows.

Isaiah 21: [1] The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.

Verse 9: [9] And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.

"Revelation is where we read Babylon is fallen. Where does all of this take place? The burden of the desert of the sea.

"When John is transported to the wilderness, he's transported to an area that is very commonly known. It's the desert. This whole area that is called Shinar is the Arabian desert. We're not concentrating so much on Saudi Arabia as we are the 'desert of the sea.'

"By the way, the Arabian Peninsula means the Arab island. It's an island of sand. It is a desert of the sea. This is the wilderness area John is being transported to.

Isaiah 13:19: [19] And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

[20] It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

"Babylon is in the Arabian desert and God says it's going to be worse than Sodom and Gomorrah. 

Isaiah 34: [8] For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.

[9] And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
[10] It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

"Pitch is like a tar; distilled crude oil. What's God going to do one day to that whole Arabian desert? There are streams and lakes of oil down there and God says, 'I'm going to turn it into pitch.' That crude oil, God's going to ignite it all.

"Remember Noah? They took that distilled oil and created something called slime and it served as an adhesive. When you mix oil with sand you get clay.

"What do we learn about Daniel's image? It's feet are made of what? Is it any wonder it's clay?"

Our 2030 6G surveillance future in sight

What does that do, give you a little bit deeper view into somebody’s skin? See how perfect it is. I liked the cameras of the old days. Sort of just had a nice feature. Now they cover every little, let’s see Michael, you’re in good shape, you’re not going to… but I tell you… so the six is coming, hunh? It’s coming. Does it ever end? And what happens? You’ll be into seven, right? Before six gets old, you’ll be into seven.’ ”

LNWO: 'Lucifer is Lord, not Satan'

“The Antichrist hides, not only under the cover of ‘Christ,’ but a second title--‘Teacher,' " writes Gail Riplinger writes in her 1993 classic expose “New Age Bible Versions.”

Roy Livesey, author and publisher of New Age Bulletin in England explains what New Agers believe: "Christ, however, doesn’t refer to the Lord Jesus Christ but to the World Teacher."

“Other books like Harriet and F. Homer Curtiss’ ‘Coming World Changes’ also connect the anticipated new Christ with the title ‘long expected Great Teacher,’ " says Riplinger, "Alice Bailey describes the ‘Emergence of the World Teacher of the New Age’:

“ ‘In June 1945 at the time of the full moon, He . . . too over (from Jesus) as the Teacher during the Aquarian Solar Cycle. He is the first of the Great World Teachers to cover two zodiacal cycles. This inflow of Aquarian energy is one of the factors which will enable the Christ to complete his task as world Savior and world Teacher . . . (and) the Teacher that he will work . . . not Christian Teacher.’ ”

A question people have is, “Why would Lucifer think he could be like the Most High God?”

He thought, "Well, God created me to be like Him,” explains my preacher Alex Kurz. You see what’s going on in his mind? Was he not "the sum of all wisdom and beauty"?

Lucifer’s looking in the mirror and he’s saying, "Why else would God make ME the principal anointed cherub?! Why would God make me wiser than any other creature?! Why would God make me beautiful?! Why would God make me the object of adoration and esteem?!"

In Lucifer’s thinking, his only conclusion was, "If I want to be like you, why would you be upset? You made me to be like you."

You see how he’s justifying what’s going on? And you know what, humanity is nothing more than a reflection of that heart of arrogance that possesses Satan and that’s why Romans says what it says and people think, "God is no better and no different than me."

Paul says they "took the glory of God" and what did they do? They made him into an image of men and four-footed beasts and what? Creeping things. Men reflect the heart attitude of Satan—he’s the king of pride. They say, "We’re equal with God." That’s what Lucifer thought!

In Lucifer’s distorted, corrupted thinking, he probably was surprised that God would be all upset with him. That’s what sin does, right? It’s, "Why are you mad at me? You made me a sinner?!"

You ever heard that argument? "How can God punish me? I am what God made me and if I do what I do . . ." You see, it’s all diversionary tactics to avoid accountability before a just God.

New Agers like to see the letter X as "the mark of the beast." From the book, The Mark of the Beast: Is It 666, or is It X?: "The Mark of The Beast is Chi (X), The Name of The Beast is 'Perfect Creature of The Earth' (interpreted as being 'Perfect One'), and The Number of The Beast is 6 (possibly written as VI)."

In an New York Times bestseller book about Luciferic initiation, Communion, author Whitley Striber writes:

"One of the biggest advantages we have as New Agers is, once the occult, metaphysical New Age terminology is removed, we have concepts and techniques that are very acceptable to the general public. So we can change the names and in so doing, we open the New Age door to millions who normally would not be receptive."

Michael Horton's The Agony of Deceit: What Some TV Preachers are Really Teaching: "They are unaware that they are repeating the errors of the past. Because they do not understand Greek philosophy or Oriental mysticism, or 19th century theosophy [Luciferianism], they do not know how seriously they have been affected by such thinking."

Here's the summary paragraph for the book The Illuminati Luciferian Agenda: "For more than two centuries, the Illuminati has slowly infiltrated all levels of our government. Expertly using the illegal Federal Reserve System, they control our economy, and both houses of Congress. Their master plan is to create a One World Government they control."

In a chapter called "They Worship the Dragon," Riplinger explains, "(All the new bible versions) have removed the name Lucifer, thereby eliminating the only reference to him in the entire bible.

"The word Lucifer then falls to the realm of the poets and writers of mythology and ceases to be an identifiable character of biblical origin. He is thereby divorced from the truth concerning himself. In John 8:44 Jesus said, 'the devil . . . is a liar, and the father of it.' He can now have whatever characteristics he desires."

In his book Dark Secrets of the New Age, the late Texe Marrs, a Christian authority on the occult oft-quoted by Riplinger, wrote:

"Why then is the world still confused about the Luciferic roots of the New Age. In part this comes about as a result of the New Ager's absurd contention that though Lucifer is lord, he is not Satan. Satan is said to be a figment of the Christian imagination. Lucifer is not Satan. Lucifer is a good angel."

Prominent Freemason Albert Pike (1809-1891) instructed Masons, "Yes, Lucifer is God . . . The doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure philosophic religion is the belief in Lucifer . . . you may repeat it to the Brethren of the 32nd, 31st and 30th degrees: The Masonic religion should be . . . maintained in the purity of the Luciferian doctrine."

"There can be no doubt that Blavatsky views the figure of Satan in this narrative as an unequivocally good force, a helper and friend of mankind:

" ‘Satan’, once he ceases to be viewed in the superstitious, dogmatic, unphilosophical spirit of the Churches, grows into the grandiose image of one who made of terrestrial a divine man; who gave him, throughout the long cycle of Maha-kalpa the law of the Spirit of Life, and made him free from the Sin of Ignorance, hence of death (Blavatsky 1888a, Vol. I, 198).

"When quoting the French occultist Éliphas Lévi’s linking of Satan and anarchism in a passage from his Histoire de la Magie (1860), Blavatsky touches briefly upon the political dimension of celebrating Lucifer.

"In the quotation as she gives it, Lévi seems to praise the fallen angel, and proclaims that Satan was ‘brave enough to buy his independence at the price of eternal suffering and torture; beautiful enough to have adored himself in full divine light; strong enough to reign in darkness amidst agony, and to have built himself a throne on his inextinguishable pyre.’ "

Israel's leaders to God: 'We made ourselves'

Here's a snippet from tonight's study at my church and will have new article tomorrow:

Isaiah 29: [15] Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

You hear people say, "Boy, that was deep." These guys are going to act like its deep: "We've got these deep thoughts."

They think they're going to keep God from knowing what's going on.

[16] Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

If the potter didn't make the pot but the pot says, "He didn't make me," the pot's saying, "I made myself." What they're doing is they're saying, "We're self-made; we're going to be God. We're going to be Creator." 

"Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?"

"He doesn't know what He's doing when He made me." These dudes don't understand the Creator is the creator, not them. They don't understand why He created.

The religious leaders of Israel had forgotten God's Word to them. They literally didn't understand why they were a nation. God created them as a nation and they didn't get it.

The illustration of the potter's house in Israel's program is very telling. In Romans 9 Paul quotes the passage in Isaiah 29. It's fascinating, Paul was very familiar with the prophets.

Jeremiah 18: [3] Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

[4] And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

The picture is you see the potter and he's got the wheel going and he's making a pot and then there's an imperfection in it. So he squeezes the clay back down and then reshapes it. He makes it according to his design.

[5] Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
[6] O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

God says, "I made you, I had a plan for you and you marred it up. Your unbelief wouldn't do it so I'm going to reshape you. I'm going to remake you."

The same clay, the same nation, but now He's going to reshape them into the vessel that He intended them to be to start with.

They're saying, "You didn't make me. It's not your design; we're making ourselves." He says, "You're nuts."

The Creator knew what He was making when He made the nation Israel. He's going to send you off into captivity, but then He's going to bring the nation back and reshape it the way He intends it to be.

Lucifer's revealing at SpaceX's Starbase

(note: still planning on giving recap of Ohio State reunion I attended this past weekend--just mulling it over)

Elon Musk's SpaceX is now revealing the erection of a massive 50-foot bronze statue of Prometheus, crafted by a French sculptor, to sit at SpaceX's Starbase in South Texas. For those who don't know, Lucifer and Prometheus are one and the same through history.

From the news site Greek Reporter: "The choice of Prometheus is hardly accidental. In Greek mythology, Prometheus defied Zeus by stealing fire from the gods and offering it to humanity. Fire represented far more than warmth and light. It became a symbol of knowledge, craftsmanship, technology, and civilization. That makes Prometheus a striking symbol for a place dedicated to rocket technology.

"At Starbase, enormous rockets rise into the sky on pillars of fire. Prometheus, meanwhile, stands with his own flame raised toward the heavens. The visual connection between the ancient myth and modern spaceflight is almost undeniable. The Titan also represents humanity’s deeper willingness to challenge established limits . . . 

"The darker side of the myth makes the statue particularly intriguing beside a rocket facility. Prometheus is not simply a symbol of technological triumph. He represents the risks and consequences that can accompany humanity’s pursuit of knowledge.

"The symbolism extends even further. Space exploration has often been described as humanity’s attempt to cross boundaries that once appeared impossible. Prometheus similarly crossed a boundary between the divine and human worlds."

Lucifer translates as the "light-bringer" and Prometheus translates as "famous for bringing the light of fire to humanity." Both of them have a connection to rebellion and forbidden knowledge. Just as Prometheus defied Zeus, Lucifer rebelled against God.

"Light-bringers and light-bearers surround us all over. You have the statue at Rockefeller Plaza of Prometheus holding fire," says a Christian YouTuber. "Of course, we all think of the Statue of Liberty, or Helios, and the torch. These are all different depictions that are really depictions of Lucifer.

"Even at the Olympics they have the torch that is lit. Columbia Pictures famously has the image of the light-bearer before the movie actually starts.

"This space travel all ties into occult worship, all this stuff about going into space and the "stars." This goes back to the creation of NASA and the occult and Jack Parsons and Aleister Crowley.

"The Church of NASA and the Religion of Science show all these satanic gods they worship. Saturn, Helios, Mercury. These are all terms used in space travel. All these planets that they worship: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Jupiter. It's about the singularity."

Here's a statue called the 'Lucifer of Liege,' made in 1848 (located in St. Paul's Cathedral of Liege in France), formerly entitled 'Le genie du mal,' which translates to 'the genius of evil' and this is exactly why.

"If you try to search out the origin story of the Statue of Liberty it gives us, well, a common history we all know of well, Lady Liberty and NYC.

"The Statue of Liberty is a statue of Lucifer, a fallen angel from heaven comely depicted as the devil who rebelled against God and was banished.

"This statue, the 'Lucifer of Liege,' has some unmistakable details that feel very intentional. So, on the ground, the crown Lucifer is holding has seven points, allegedly symbolizing the seven deadly sins of man.

"And is this even LADY Liberty?! Just have a closer look at her face and tell me if you see it too. I don't know about you, but the features aren't exactly all that feminine. Here's the face while it was still under construction (between 1875-1884). Here's the face of another statue of an actual lady for comparison.

"Now, this is a famous painting of Lucifer from 1797 (called 'Satan Summoning His Legions') and here's the viral side-by-side comparison with our Lady Liberty and the resemblance is uncanny.

"Never mind a man; she straight up looks like the devil himself, who as the 'Lucifer of Liege' seems to have dropped a torch. Lucifer the name translates from Latin to the "bringer of light." Do I really need to explain that one?

"Even more, beside the scepter at the base of the statue, there's an APPLE almost seemingly at random just sitting there with no context! What is it they call New York City, the host of the Statue of Liberty? The Big what now?! But you know we're probably just reading into things too much as usual.

"With Lucifer also alternatively translating to "morning star," a star being the shape the Statue of Liberty just happens to rest on . . . 

"All very interesting and mildly disturbing connections and coincidences to a figure that is commonly portrayed as the devil, or maybe, you know, we're just being silly. Entertainment purposes only, right? That was quite the brain tickler, wasn't it?" 

(Note: You would think the Statue of Lucifer was something unique to the United States, but actually multiple countries, more than 15, have a statue dedicated to Lucifer.)

For Orthodox Easter yesterday, an AI-generated image was posted to Donald Trump’s Truth Social account depicting him as a Christ-like figure.

“Less than a day later, the image of a man wearing a white robe draped with a red shawl was removed from Trump's social media feed in what appeared to be a rare concession to critics,” reported USA Today. “Trump later said the image was being misconstrued, and that he was depicted as a doctor not Jesus.

“The image showed Trump laying his hand on the forehead of a man who appears to be in a sick bed. A light glows in Trump’s other hand and light shines around the sick man’s head.”

From a YouTuber: “What’s very interesting is that the original AI portrait was posted a couple of months ago and didn’t include this weird demonic figure that you see right behind Trump in the new updated version. It’s all truth in plain sight and this is all part of their satanic agenda.

“You see the spikes on the head and this represents Lucifer. This is all part of the false light because Trump sees himself as a hero on the world stage.

Interestingly, on the U.S. Air Force’s Congressional Medal of Honor is the Statue of Liberty. If you click on an image of it on the official government website for the Medal of Honor (note: it has since been removed), there WAS this description: “The Statue of Liberty is centered in the Air Force design. In addition to standing for liberty, it is derived from the imagery of Queen Semiramis from Babylon, who is famed for her beauty, strength and wisdom.”

“I think this is very interesting because most of the research I’ve done on the Statue of Liberty finds that it is derived from Libertas, which was an ancient Roman goddess,” says a historian. “In a Roman Imperial Coin from 196 A.D. you have a depiction of Diana’s head on the front side and on the back is written 'Diana Lucifera' and Diana has spikes on her head, looking like the Statue of Liberty. She is holding a torch with a flame, just like the symbolism of the light-bearer. Lucifera means ‘light-bringing.’ "

Received not as the word of men . . .

It seemed totally appropriate that I should see Sodom & Gomorrah (Morrill and Lincoln) on Cannon Drive just as I neared my exit for my hotel room on Olentangy River Road last Friday evening. Those twin freshman dorm towers are what started my whole experience at Ohio State and I've never forgotten them for even a second.

I didn't fit in at all with my roommates or anyone else inside Lincoln that I remember, but it was just for the Spring Quarter of 1983 (having just transferred from Ohio University) so I toughed it out by riding my bicycle around as much as possible, in the process discovering the huge extent of the campus and its environs.

I actually caught sight of a student cyclist entering the Olentangy River Bike Path and my heart leaped out in envy. I could see it had only gotten thicker with trees and foliage, and I instinctively yearned to be on it with my old Raleigh 14-speed cross-country bike.

One of the first Lantern staffers I saw at the reunion event upon arrival was Terri. She immediately told me the perennial question has been, "Did Lisa hit the bus or did the bus hit Lisa?"

Matthew 7 reports, “And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”

“That word ‘scribe’ there means a guy who writes things. The scribes wrote down the Scripture, copying it out, but Jesus doesn’t teach like the scribes. He teaches with authority.

“The verse’s saying, ‘Not like the scribes where you can’t understand what’s going on.’ If you want a comparison in modern terminology, the scribe would be like Bible commentaries. The Lord teaches different than that. He teaches you out of the Book clearly and plainly.

“In Matthew 8-10, you begin to see a series of miracles by Christ. The Book of Matthew is not laid out in chronological order; it brings together a bunch of different things that happened at different times and lays them out here on the table for you to now scrutinize.

“Now, that’s a legitimate method of giving evidence. It’s not a method of giving a chronological story, but it is a legitimate method of giving evidence to prove a point, isn’t it? Matthew is more interested in the evidential value.

“In Galatians 1, the Apostle Paul, when describing his gospel and how his message is unique and distinct from those who were there before him, gives, as it were, a certificate of apostleship.

“He writes in Galatians 1:11-12, ‘But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

[12] For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.’

“He’s going to document and give proof that validates that statement. If you go down through the rest of chapter 1, and then through chapter 2, there are at least 14 specific points Paul makes that demonstrate the distinctiveness of his ministry.

“He writes in Galatians 1:20-24, [20] Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

[21] Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

[22] And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ

[23] But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

[24] And they glorified God in me.

“Paul went out among the Gentiles where he’d lived and was unknown by face. They didn’t have enough contact with Paul to really know what was going on with him to know what he was preaching. They just had heard, ‘Well, he used to be persecuting the followers of Christ and now he’s preaching that Jesus is the Christ.’

“You see, learning what God’s doing is not an issue of just learning a

bunch of doctrine. Somebody told me the other day, ‘Well, were in this predicament and we’re just glad to have the doctrine work.’ Now that’s true, but it’s not just the doctrine working.

“In the Scripture it’s really 'the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe,’ and when that happens, you know what’s really working in you? Christ is working in you. So when you talk about, ‘Well, it’s the doctrine working,’ remember it’s really the life of Jesus Christ working.

“There’s that personal intimate understanding, and when you come to Ephesians you’ve come to the place where God says, ‘Come in and let me have access with you; let me bring you into access to understand.’ What’s going on here is the Triune God.

“Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:11 that God ‘gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.’ The prophets referred to here are the New Testament prophets.

“Paul was a prophet but he was also an apostle. He never wrote anything as a prophet; he wrote as an apostle. Paul warns in I Corinthians 14:37, ‘If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.’

“One of the jobs of a prophet all through Scripture is to say, ‘Thus sayeth the Lord.’ He spoke for God. One of the jobs of the prophets in those churches Paul established was to say, ‘This is God’s Word.’

“From I Corinthians 5:9 (‘I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators’) we see that before I Corinthians, Paul had already written a letter and an epistle to the church of Corinth that did not wind up in the Bible.

“So do we have lost Scripture? Who’s to say one letter from Paul is Scripture and the other’s not? Well, hey, folks, that’s why God put a prophet in the assembly, giving him the gift of prophecy. So that that prophet could acknowledge that the things Paul’s writing here—‘This is Scripture; that one isn’t.’

“By the way, in II Thessalonians 2:2 there were some people counterfeiting epistles, writing them and saying they were from Paul when they weren’t. But, you see, the local church there had an office, a prophet, a God-empowe;red person with a supernatural ability as a gift of that church to say, ‘This is Scripture,’ and to speak for God.”

Got home super, super late from Columbus last night and had to be to work at 9. Will give a recap of my reunion visit to Ohio State tomorrow. In meantime, here's another numbers-related piece:

The Hebrew Bible has a three-fold division just like the English Bible but the same 39 books they share are grouped together into 24 books in the Hebrew Bible.

Twenty-four is two times 12. Whose book is the Hebrew Bible? God committed it to the nation Israel. Twenty-four is 3x8. Three is the number of divine completion; eight is the number of a new beginning. So you have a message to Israel about God's intention to provide a new beginning for them, explains Richard Jordan.

Twenty-four is 4x6. Four in the Bible is the number of the earth. Six is the number of man. What's God's purpose for man in the earth?

In our Bible, the Old Testament has 39 books and 3x9=27, which is how many books there are in the New Testament. 39 when you divide it is 3x13. Thirteen is the number of rebellion.

You and I as Gentiles, aliens and rebels against God, that was the Old Testament for us. The books in the Hebrew Bible are arranged differently. Their last book is II Chronicles and the last chapter is 36.

At the end of II Chronicles what is Israel doing? They're off in captivity, in Babylon, and now they're invited to come back to the land. What's the hope of Israel? To go back into their land.

You know what our Old Testament ends in? In Malachi 4, the last word is 'curse.' Israel's Old Testament ends with a blessing and ours ends with a curse. I wonder why. Well, you and I are aliens and strangers and what does the law do? It curses.

There's all kind of things like that in the arrangement of the Bible that, as you study your Bible, you can't help but see these things. What happens is you begin to understand there's an underlying structure to the Word of God that demonstrates its divine origin.

The Old Testament is divided into three sections in an English Bible and the first 17 books (Genesis- Esther) are what I call history. Then there's five that look at the heart of Israel (Job-Song of Solomon) and after that are 17 prophetic books looking at the hope of Israel set forth in their prophets (Isaiah-Malachi).

First there are five books of Moses, what's called the Pentateuch or the Torah, which leaves 12 books from Joshua to Esther. But in these 12 that No. 12 is divided. There's 9 of those 12 that are pre-exile and then there are 3 of them that are post-exile. So you keep breaking the thing down.

These other 17 books are divided into five and 12 too. You have the five major prophets, then you have 12 minor prophets which are divided into nine and three. Nine pre-exile before the Babylonian captivity and three post-exile prophets.

When you begin to see how they match up, there's a numerical structure in the way the books are arranged in your bible, that once you begin to see it, there's this balancing act going on in Scripture.

You can't miss the fact that when you look at the table of contents numbers are going to be important. By the way, when you come into the New Testament, you have the first five books (Matthew-Acts) then you have Romans-Philemon, which are Paul's 13 epistles and then you have the nine books of Hebrews-Revelation.

Matthews-John are the history books, the four presentations of the life of Christ, and then in the Book of Acts you have the renewed opportunity of Israel to repent. Acts is the 5th book in the New Testament. The Book of Deuteronomy is the 5th book in the Old Testament and it's is a regiving of the law to Israel after the 40 years in the wilderness. The Book of Acts is a renewed offer of an opportunity for Israel to repent after the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

There are nine epistles Paul writes to the local churches and then there are four of what we call pastoral epistles, or handbooks for the local church. There are nine epistles written to the Hebrew churches.

Romans is the first of Paul's epistles and it focuses on the Cross. The last epistle to the Thessalonians focuses on the coming of Christ. The first one of the Hebrew epistles is the Book of Hebrews and it focuses on explaining the crosswork for them. The last epistle for them is the Book of Revelation and it's all about Christ coming for these people.

You can break that down more and more and you see this symmetry; there is a mathematical, numerical structure even in the way the Word of God is put together, so numbers are important to God. They matter in Scripture.

There are so many verses about God using numbers and God doing numbers, like how He's numbered the stars and He's numbered the hairs on your head.

But when you begin to study numbers, the first 13 numbers, actually 40 numbers, each number has a significance attached to it in Scripture that you just can't ignore and that's beyond the ability to just say it's coincidence.

It doesn't mean that every time the number occurs its significance is there, but it will be probably about 70-80% of the time, where you can see in the text a specific significance with that number consistently through Scripture.

In Genesis 11 the whole earth was of one language. Verse 6: [6] And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

The people are one and have one language. I read that and I think, wow, that is so true. Man can accomplish and achieve anything he sets his mind on doing unless God intervenes, as He did here. They had one world with one language and in verse 4 they try to create a one-world religion. And here’s unity and globalism at its best. One is a number of unity.

If you want to learn about believing something, just go to Genesis 1 and your Bible will prove itself. The No. 1 is the number of God. It’s the number of unity. It’s the foundation of all other numbers because every other number is a multiple of one. It first occurs in the text of scripture in Genesis 1:9: [9] And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

The number is associated with unity. About the 10 Commandments, Deuteronomy 6 says: [4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: [5] And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

That’s the great confession of Israel. It’s a oneness that’s associated with God Himself. Genesis 2:24: [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Two represents division and the number three represents divine completeness. It’s the number of resurrection in the Bible. John 1, for example, starts out, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” Both the term Word and the name God occur three times. There’s divine completeness.

By the way, No. 4 represents earth and if you go to John 1:14 you’ll see the fourth time the word Word occurs. It says, ‘The Word was made flesh.’ Here’s the Word come into creation!

I know (you think) it’s just happenstance, and it’s all by accident, and you shouldn’t put much stock in it, but isn’t it just fascinating that it’s the fourth time the word occurs there?! When you study through your Bible, you find strange occurrences like that.

The number 13 is the number of rebellion in the Bible and if you look at Mark 7, for example, where Jesus is listing man’s sins, they add up to 13: 'And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

[21] For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
[22] Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
[23] All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

A similar listing of 13 can be found in Romans 1 where Paul writes, 'And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.'

You can do that over and over and over and over in Scripture and these numbers . . . now, there’s not a doctrine tagged to (numbers); that’s just sort of that below- the-surface kind of structure that’s there and confirms something over here, that if you’re not careful you won’t even notice. And if you don’t notice this, you won’t notice that.

You say my preacher's a wacko? Wow.

I arrived in Columbus this evening after work to attend a college reunion weekend among my fellow student journalists at Ohio State's The Lantern student newspaper circa '85-'87. Our first meeting at a classic campus establishment could not have been more soothing to my soul, I am very happy to report. These are people I haven't seen in 40 years and yet we reconnected in a super intimate way! It was unbelievable actually! So fun (and sentimentally overwhelming in a way) to see old campus environs too!

My pastor announced Wednesday that he would deliver several messages on the Book of Genesis this weekend at the Ridge Farm Bible Conference in honor of Morris Chestnut. I am someone who loves to hear teachings out of Genesis.

Won't be posting tomorrow since our last gathering is to watch the OSU-Texas game together in the evening and then I will drive home to be at work Sunday morning.

"Genesis 1:1 has 10 words in it. Revelation 22:21 has twelve words in it. Remember that.

"Count the number of letters in Genesis 1:1. There are 44. Count the letters in the last verse of the Bible. There's 44.

"How would you figure the first verse and last verse have the same number of letters? But it gets better.

"Count the number of vowels in Genesis 1:1. There's 17. Count the number of vowels in Revelation 22:21. There's 17.

"If you go to Genesis 1:1 and count the number of consonants there are 27. You know how many there are in the last verse? 27.

"Your Bible starts out with, 'In the beginning God created,' and it ends with, 'the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.'

"It starts out with creation and it ends with grace; God's redemption of His creation. Now, that's only true in a King James Bible.

"What does all that mean? There's something otherworldly even about that translation.

"Now, to understand who God is you need a verse in the Bible that's left out of other translations. I John 5:7. Every Bible except the King James leaves this verse out.

I John 5:7: [7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

"That's the great trinitarian statement. Any time you look at a doctrinal statement and it starts out talking about, 'We believe in one God,' and they'll have a statement about God, look at the verses they list. They almost never list that verse. Because they don't think it should be in the Bible. 

"If you count the letters in that verse, how many are there? There are 88. If you counted the vowels in that verse, how many do you think there are? It wouldn't be 17; it would be 34, which is twice. If you did the consonants it would be 54, which is twice 27.

"The first verse in the Bible has 10 words in it and the last verse has 12 because the God that created and the God that redeems--10 is the number of Gentiles and twelve is the number of Israel. The Gentiles and Israel get light out of that Book. The words of that Book are what provide light to the world.

"Now, I say that and you guys can appreciate that, but if I got on the radio and started teaching that, you know what people would do? Cuckoo, cuckoo.

"If you share the tape of this you know what they're going to go? 'Man, your preacher's a wacko!' And yet you see that and you say, 'Wow.'

"Now, I'm not going to make something out of it that's not; I'm not trying to be superstitious and that kind of stuff. I'm just saying there's things about your Bible, when you believe it . . . 

"Somebody says, 'Well, it's not true in another language.' I'm not speaking another language."

Nations assigned false god apiece to rule over them

A brand-new world map has been approved by the United Nations, making "Earth look radically different": The UN is getting rid of the Mercator map and implementing a new Equal Earth projection, reported The Sun in London yesterday.

"The widely-used Mercator map was developed by 16th century Flemish cartographer Gerardus Mercator.

“ 'Africa doesn’t need to be made bigger. It needs to be seen accurately.'

“ 'The United States, Russia and China take on a disproportionate visual prominence compared to Africa, Latin America or southeast Asia,' French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said in a speech.

"He added that 'distortions eventually take root in perceptions' and that 'the time has come to correct them.'

"Togo’s Foreign Minister Robert Dussey told Reuters that the unequal representation was a product of colonialism. 'A fair world begins with a fair map,' he said."

Deuteronomy 4: [7] For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

They were to look at Israel and say, "Wow! They've got the Creator God running them!" Now, if Israel's the Creator God's nation, who runs all these other nations? says Richard Jordan.

[16] Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
[17] The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
[18] The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

He's talking to Israel and He says, "You've got me. Don't worship anybody else. Don't go out there and worship all those other gods."

[19] And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

You see what happened when God divided the nations under heaven? He literally took all these false gods and assigned them to the various nations in the earth.

So, He doesn't just confound the language and scatter them as they get together in a national entity; He literally assigns them to false gods to rule over them.

Why? They didn't want Jehovah. "You don't want me. Okay, I'll give you your own little god." He says He did it "according to the children of Israel."

There are two ways to take that passage. One, there are 12 children of Israel and in the ages to come that's how He'll divide the nations.

People say that back in Genesis there are 70 nations. If you take Brother Barlow's book in the bookstore he describes there being 70 nations in Genesis 10. I've tried to count them but never came up with 70 so I'll just tell you what people say.

But ever how many there are back there you can say, "Well, He took all those nations back there and divided them up with a god apiece."

If you go to Deuteronomy 32, because there are a lot more nations in the earth today than 70, but there are a lot more false gods and fallen religious systems.

Paul quotes this passage in Deuteronomy 32: [17] They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.

You know what, every time a new religious system shows up . . . Revelation 17: [5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

She generates more false religious systems, and they have all these devils that come along and teach these doctrines of devils. 

Everyday your life and my life is affected by Genesis 3 and Genesis 11 and the world we live in is under the curse of man's sin and it's under the dominion of "the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience."

That spirit that works in the children of disobedience took over those children of disobedience in Genesis 11. Now, if you go back to Genesis God told you in Deuteronomy that He did what? His portion isn't among the nations; His portion is Israel. But He didn't have a nation in Genesis 11. He had to create one, so Genesis 12 begins:

[1] Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
[2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

[3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 

Speed bumps on way to glory

Having troubles this week with all sorts of stuff and so here's just a short one and will work on getting back in the game:

At a weekend Bible conference in Grand Rapids, MI with the theme, "The Quiet and Peaceable Life in a World Gone Crazy," preacher David Reid closed the last message with these final thoughts: 

You can look at the "crazy" and be discouraged because everything is wrong and everything is dumb. I get that. Or you can look at that and say, "It's always darkest before the dawn." As it gets nuttier, you know what that means? The blessed hope is that much closer.

Think of it this way. When I was newly saved, a lot of folks I fellowshipped with were all excited to live under the time of the Rapture because then, you know, you get "changed" and you won't have to die and wouldn't that be great.

I Corinthians 15: [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

That's exciting but do you know what that also means? If you live to see the blessed hope, then you had to go through the "last days," and if you're in the last days then you're in perilous times.

So, what's going to happen as we get closer to the end of this? Are times going to be perilous? Yes. Are they going to be spiritually darker? Yes. But that is good in the sense it just means were that much closer to going home.

So don't focus on the earthly circumstances; focus on who you are in Christ. "Set your affection on things above." All the stuff that goes on in the earth, let me put it this way; It's just noise.

The way to think about it is this. The moment you get saved Satan can't do anything to you that's meaningful. He can make your earthly life tough, but he can't chance your position in the Body of Christ. And what happens, Revelation 12, is Satan and his devils are cast out of the heavens.

The Body of Christ is a heavenly people blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. The positions that we're occupied by Satan and his minions, the Body of Christ is going to occupy.

That's why I Corinthians 2: 7-8 says: [7] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

[8] Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 

So he looks at you and he says, "Well, I hate this guy because he's my replacement." And oh, by the way, the indignity of, "Look who I'm being replaced with! These guys are clowns!"

So he hates you, hates you, hates you and you're going to have on this earth opposition and persecution and problems, and what I would just say is it's just speed bumps--it's just noise--on the way to glory. Because you win! And in fact, you've already won if you're in Christ. 

As far as the east is from the west

The first 11 chapters of Genesis cover roughly 2,000 years of history. By comparison, Genesis 12 to Malachi 4 span another 2,000 years.

Skeptics will ask, “Why so much information in Genesis 1-11 about that time in history and so much less about the years that follow?” The answer is early Genesis provides the principle operating “ingredients” for everything.

One of the principles in the operation of the nations and of man, for example, is there are some directions in which history is destined to move.

“The direction God designed to be His direction is east to west,” explains Richard Jordan. “That’s why the course of history has functioned that way, and as you go through the Word of God you’ll see it go that way.

“From Genesis 3, it’s clear the original birth of civilization began in the Middle East. If you take the word Eden in the Bible and look up the references to where it’s described, you’ll find one leg of it is over in Egypt, one leg is over where the Tigris and Euphrates are, where modern-day Kuwait is, and another leg is up north. If you take a line and connect the dots, you’ll have a triangle that will match the Fertile Crescent.

“Genesis 4:16 says, ‘And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.’

“Did Cain go toward God or away from God? That’s going away. When God told Israel to set up the tabernacle in the wilderness, He gave them very clear instructions: ‘When you come in, you’re going to go east to west.’

“That’s a pattern in Scripture. When Joshua was going to take Israel into the Promised Land, what did they do? They went over on the east side of the Jordan River, going into it from east to west.

“When Jesus Christ comes back to land on the Mount of Olives, and goes into Jerusalem, what does He do? He comes into the east. He goes into the eastern gate, which means He was going east to west.

“Whenever you go against this pattern in Scripture, you’re going in the wrong direction. In Genesis 12, God calls Abraham out of Ur to go west into the land of Canaan. But Abraham got all upset and went south. Was that a good idea?

“It’s fascinating to see how the course of history is designed to operate.  Look at Genesis 12:4-6. God said, ‘This is your land Abraham!’ Verse 10 reads, ‘And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.’

“Abraham went down into Egypt. You know what direction that is? Wrong way! You say, ‘But if he had gone west, he’d have gotten wet in the Mediterranean Sea!’ That’s right; he ought to have stayed put! He was in the land God put him in! You say, ‘But the Canaanites were there!’ Yeah, they didn’t belong there!

"They’d had warning that God was going to give that land to Abraham so they went up there and took it over. They weren’t where they were supposed to be and that’s why later on God tells Israel, ‘Wipe them all out because that isn’t their land.’  That was God’s land deeded to the land of Israel.

“When Israel was carried off in the east into Babylonian captivity, that was a bad thing. But when God began to move into the Gentile nations, He began to move west with them.

“When He went to the Media-Persian Empire, He went west. The Greek empire was west. Then comes Rome and into the Western world; the Western hemisphere. The extension of America west into Asia.

“So the idea of the kings of the east--what you really have going on there is you have history going back to where it originated in.

“There are two great nations in Asia: China and India. There’s some things about the Chino-Indian relationships that sometime you don’t hear a lot about.

“We’re seeing culture move back to where civilization began. Ultimately it’s going back to the Middle East. In Daniel 8, for example, you get some detailed information about the kingdom of the Antichrist in the last days . . . ”
