Cities, countrymen, next-door neighbors...

Paul writes in I Thessalonians 2:18, [18] Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.

"Satan's interested in these local churches. He doesn't like what's going on because he knows it's a God-designed mechanism and vehicle to get that message out to all the world," said Alex Kurz at Soldier's Conference last month.

"But the type of tribulation, going back to Acts 17, the Thessalonians are suffering at the hands of their own countrymen; their next-door neighbors, fellow citizens. We see that at the end of verse 5.

"The verse reads, [5] But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

"You see it's the city? All of a sudden the government's getting involved. One of the tactics of the satanic policy of evil is to get the government to harass and intimidate the local churches. 2,000 years ago, now fast-forward to 2021."

(new post tomorrow. the more I've been able to work my left hand the more achiness/tightness/soreness there is, especially at night. It's actually a lot more than the hand--it's the entire forearm. Only have Aleve for pain and can only take three a day. For most part, I am still pecking away with one finger of my right hand, which is also messed up. Tomorrow is two weeks since I broke my wrist. Thankfully it is healing.)
