We have the technology

From last Sunday morning at Shorewood:

Isaiah reveals in Isaiah 22:14, [14] And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

So God audibly spoke to Isaiah about 2,700 years ago. I have no way of knowing what God said to Isaiah so what do I need?

God tells Isaiah in Isaiah 30, [8] Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

Go make a written record of what I've spoken to you. Why? 'That it may be for the time to come for ever and ever. Write it down so you have a written record that doesn't change, you always know what I've said, and it's going to be preserved forever.'

Isaiah 34:16: 'Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read.' There's that book and, by the way, the Book was still being written when Isaiah wrote that. Now, it's been finished.

In Isaiah 29 you have a prophecy about the millennial kingdom, out in the future beyond where we are today. He says in verse 18, [18] And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

Isaiah's back in 700 B.C. Future from where we are in the 21st Century he says the deaf are going to be able to hear the WORDS of the BOOK Isaiah's writing. That's preservation and he's talking about the w-o-r-d-s written in the Word.

If he wrote it back there and people future from us are going to be able to read it, it's got to be somewhere today. Follow that?

Psalm 12:6-7: [6] The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. [7] Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

"It doesn't have error in it; no mistakes. It's purified. That idea about it being purified seven times, what he's saying there is the Word of God, when it began, was not something that had to be corrected, figured out, fixed and evolved over time into purity; it STARTED pure. It was so pure there was no dross in it.

Q&A Sunday night:

Man has the mandate of taking creation and using it in a way to present the exceeding greatness, where every age is more demonstration, greater, bigger--you bring more into existence.

I would say I don't know they're going to use John Deere tractors, but the job it did they're going to need that. It's about having the technology and the capacity.

I had a man years ago when I was teaching through the Book of Hebrews write me a letter advising, 'You know, what you're teaching you need to package this up so the tribulation saints won't have to study so hard; they're not going to have 30 years to learn this stuff.'

I never thought about that before. The idea is that the information would be available. I think even the discoveries of unsaved men are simply unveiling what's in creation. We do it faultingly, imperfectly; we'll do it perfectly then. The whole goal of then God being all in all so that His original purpose in creation (which was to put on display the glory, excellence, wonder that He sees in His Son so that our life, the life of creation, would just demonstrate His life and that's going to be a wonderful thing), is that we'll be able to take the wisdom, knowledge and understanding God has put in the earth and in the heavens and put it on display for His glory.
