"Doctor, my eyes, tell me what is wrong/Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?"--Jackson Browne hit single from 1972
Some people would say it was a perfect storm. It was SUPER humid on the 4th of July and I spent the day working (physical labor) in a grocery store that unfortunately has bad air-conditioning since it was expanded and a new AC unit on order supposedly wasn't the right size and they're still waiting on a new one, etc., etc.
Even with the heat, my brother decided to have his actual BBQ (with tons of smoked pork from his smoker) outside with just a fan running. We spent a good two-and-a-half hours in the heat.
The next morning I got up to be at work at 9 and popped down my newly prescribed blood pressure pill about 8:40. I later counted the bottle's 90-pill prescription contents to learn it was my sixth dose in a row.
So, I enter the store not thinking anything is wrong in my world and find, much to my horror, that absolutely everything was blurry-ish--something I've never experienced before in my life.
As the hours ticked by and my condition didn't seem to get any better, I started to really panic. I wracked my brain as to what it could be and then, suddenly, I remembered the new blood pressure pill. "That's it!" I concluded with waves of relief.
Because of the intensely hot and humid day I waited to take my usual break out in my car and used it to look at my cell phone and quickly research the side effects for the pill.
Within a minute or so I found symptoms that TOTALLY, 100 percent matched what I was experiencing! The website said I could be experiencing Acute Transient Myopia and, in which case, I should "seek immediate medical attention to avoid possible permanent vision loss"!!!!
You talk about being floored. My mouth was wide open sitting in the driver's seat with the windows down. My immediate thought was to call my mom and let her tell me what to do, but then I thought, "Just keep looking at other websites for other info on this."
Thankfully I read my condition was "reversible" upon quitting the medicine and, if necessary, "seeking therapy treatments" lasting weeks or months!
To skip forward, that night I put heavy-duty over-the-counter nighttime-only ointment in my eyes just before bed to see if it could just be a matter of dry eyes made worse by taking a pill with Hydrochlorothiazide added to it, a known diuretic.
After purposely sleeping in the next morning, praying my head off that my eyes would be back to normal, I awakened to find they were only somewhat improved!!! (I had definitely used too much ointment, the doctor told me later)
My mom told me to call an ophthalmologist immediately and thankfully they saw me late that afternoon. All the tests came out okay and they concluded I simply had very dry eyes!
There are no words to explain how grateful I was and I'm trying to keep that frame of mind in me now two full days later!
The bottom line to everything, as I am learning more and more, is things you take for granted can change on a dime and it isn't wise to think anything will just remain "the same as it's always been." Time waits for no man, so I really need to get on with it!

From YouTube channel Yanasa TV's recent post entitled "ALARMING: Nebraska Situation is SPREADING-- Dust Bowl 2.0":
"Well water comes from wells that are being dried up by data centers everywhere. That doesn't just translate into lost ground for the grass, doesn't just translate into lost wheat--it translates into lost corn and beans as well.
"What we're seeing is the supply chain tightening in real time. Right now, the people who are actually growing the food are the ones who are carrying the weight. Down the road we're all going to feel it.
"We document the receipts, not theories and opinions, and right now the dust is blowing and the wheat is failing. Wells pull nothing but air in the middle of May.
"Wildfires swept through Nebraska, taking all the grass, and farmers and ranchers are saying out loud that they have never seen it this bad. With El Nino on the way I don't think it's going to get any better."

Here is an old post and will have new article tomorrow:
What I find very telling is that during Islam’s “golden era,” when the Muslim empire spanned from Spain to India and reached down into Africa, adherents included some of the world’s finest philosophers and mathematicians.
“Jinn are spirit beings capable of both good and evil actions and of possessing human beings,” informs religions expert Rick Rood of the World Religions Index organization. “Above the jinn in rank are the angels of God. Two of them are believed to accompany every Muslim, one on the right to record his good deeds, and one on the left to record his evil deeds.”
The Koran, like Calvinism and other satanically-inspired doctrines, supports the idea that all things—both good and evil—are the direct result of God’s will.
“Those who conclude that Islam is a fatalistic religion have good reason for doing so,” writes Rood. “The paramount feature of Islamic belief, aside from its strong monotheism, is that it is a religion of human works. One’s position with regard to Allah is determined by his success in keeping His laws.”
Rood continues, “Though mankind is depicted as weak and prone to error, Islam denies that man is a sinner by nature and in need of a Savior, as the Bible so clearly teaches. People are capable of submitting to God’s laws and meriting his ultimate approval.”
By contrast, Pauline prayer is the vehicle for the release of the power of God’s Word in the details of life for a dispensational Bible Believer. It’s praying according to the principle of grace: “The only response grace will accept is the response of faith.”
“We take the truths of God and internalize them through that energizing ministry of God the Holy Spirit—through His enlightening and empowering ministry—and Pauline prayer is the catalyst to accomplish that. That’s why Paul prays so much," explains Richard Jordan.
*****
“Pauline prayer is aimed at producing peace and contentment that’s independent of the circumstances of life. Rather than just simply manipulating circumstances, it’s designed to enhance your spiritual perception, and your spiritual character, so that regardless of whom you are, or the circumstances that come upon your life, you’re able to function with stability and contentment; with empowerment and effectiveness.”
