“The Romans tore down the temple and built a mosque that’s there today and the Antichrist is going to literally rebuild the temple. In order to do that he’s going to first have to conquer Islam because they’re not just going to say, ‘Okay, hey, let’s have peace; we’ll give you the mosque.’

“That’s one of their holy sites and so, in order to do what he’s going to do at the beginning . . . when the 70^th Week begins with the signing of that covenant, 220 days later, according to Daniel 8, that temple worship is going to begin again.

“They’re going to reinstitute the daily sacrifice; the Mosaic sacrificial system will start again and it will go until the middle point of the 70^th Week when the Antichrist is then going to stop them and come in and proclaim HIMSELF to be the one who needs to be worshipped.

"Jesus talks about that in Matthew 24: [15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

“The Jewish religious system from Moses is reinstituted and that’s completely verboten to Islam. They hate that, they fight against that, seek to eliminate it. They’re not just going to roll over. Islam is going to have to be completely eliminated.

“Edom in your Bible, they are the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s brother. Before Esau and Jacob were born, the prophecy was made that the elder would serve the younger and Esau was the rebel. Jacob was the snake in the grass, the conniver, but Esau had no thought for th things of God and hated his brother.

“Ezekiel calls it a ‘perpetual hatred.’ Esau joined along with Ishmael and Hagar and they propagated hatred all through their descendants and it spreads all the way down through history.

“Obadiah talks about Edom and God’s judgment on Edom. You see what’s going to happen in the first nine verses, why it’s going to happen in verses 10-16, and then in verses 12 to the end, how it’s going to happen.

Obadiah begins: [1] The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle.
[2] Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.
[3] The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
[4] Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.

“The call is for the heathen to rise up against Israel. Edom is a small group of people but the pride of their heart has caused them to be deceived. They want to exalt themselves; they ‘want to be somebody.’ They’re an insignificant group so some people come along and use that pride of their heart to deceive them.

Verse 7: [7] All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
[8] Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?
[9] And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter.
[10] For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

“ ‘They that eat thy bread,’ means ‘your kinfolk.’ We’re talking about the Arabs. Today we call the Edomites Palestinians, the nomadic group over there. These people turn out to be modern-day Palestinians. All of the Arab nations that populate that part of the world over there, they form a confederacy.

“There’s going to be a group of Arab nations that use the Palestinians, the Edomites, to foment a border crisis. You see that over in the Middle East now. They’re going to deceive the Edomites into being a front organization for this desire to destroy the nation Israel.”
