At the end of II Timothy, Paul finishes the last of his writings with, [21] Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
[22] The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace
be with you. Amen.
He lists a bunch of people in verse 21 that nobody has
any idea who they are. You notice in all that the one person he didn’t mention?
Who is supposed to be at Rome and the head of the church at Rome? Peter.
Paul’s writing from Rome and these people say “Hi” and he doesn’t even mention Peter. You read that and you say, “Hey! You forgot to say ‘Hi’ to Pete!” You list all these nobodies, as far as we’re concerned, observes Richard Jordan.
You know why he did that? There’s not any indication
anywhere, except in Roman mysticism, superstition, and baloney, that Peter was
ever in Rome. That’s just like the same stuff that tells you the Apostle Thomas
went to India. That’s just a bunch of malarkey; makes no sense at all.
[22] The Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. Grace
be with you. Amen.
Thus ends the writing of God’s Word. After the “Amen” and
that period, it’s my conclusion that all your Bible had been completed at that
point. So, the Lord Jesus Christ be with thy spirit. It’s in that Book; that’s
how He’s with you because He’s in you.
“Grace be with you.” You take the truth of that Book and
it goes with you and you have God’s grace and His Spirit through His Word resident
in you because of that grace.

Jesus
says in Revelation 1:8: [8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty.
Verse
11: [11] Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What
thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in
Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and
unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
Alpha
is the first letter in a Greek alphabet and Omega is the last letter. Words are
made of letters and what Jesus is saying there is, “I'm God's alphabet and I'm
the one who's going to display and spell out for you the mind of God and what
God's got to say; I'm the one going to lay it all out for you.”
By the way, when He says, “I'm Alpha and Omega,” He's saying, “The last thing God's going to say to you is going to come from me.”
The conclusion of revelation is going to
come from Jesus Christ. That's why it isn't Paul, it's “the preaching of Jesus
Christ,” because it's Christ who's the issue even in Paul's ministry.
