Where its thinking leads a nation

In talking to Israel about the reason they've gone into difficulties, Psalm 106 testifies:

[36] And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
[37] Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
[38] And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
[39] Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
[40] Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
[41] And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
[42] Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

"Part of sacrificing innocent blood would have to do with aborting unborn babies. In that process it polluted the land. This kind of activity pollutes a nation and it does so because the thinking process necessary to allow to happen is what corrupts the culture," says Richard Jordan.

"When you have a culture that's willing to accept abortion on demand, for example, the thinking process of sin that leads people there has corrupted the land and made it a part of the satanic policy of evil. Eventually, it makes the land unbearable.

Proverbs 14: [34] Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

"Isaiah 33, where God talks to Israel about getting out of that situation, in verses 5-6: [5] The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

[6] And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

"It's wisdom and knowledge that gives a culture stability. The thinking that leads to shedding innocent blood is what produces destruction, pollutes it and brings it to nought.

"Some of this stuff is just ludicrous, but if you don't know sound doctrine it makes eminent sense; cultural leaders think it makes sense.

"Again, I point you to II Timothy 2: 24-25 because as Believers we need to be careful when we think about this stuff. We're not in the business of fighting and striving in the flesh.

[24] And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, [25] In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Here is an old post:

Proverbs 7:7 says, [7] And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding.

"They’ve literally been stripped of any ability to understand all the important issues that make up the foundation of a normal life.

"Honesty, integrity, respect for your father and mother and family--those four foundations God laid (volition being personal responsibility and choices).

"Ephesians 6 says, [1] Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

[2] Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

[3] That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

"The simple have no understanding of that; they’re void of knowing. God put mom and dad in charge of training; to impart some truth into a child. For the simple, all that generational memory is gone and the inner strength necessary--that needs to be passed on to each new generation--hasn’t been put in them.

"Do you see the progression? Void of understanding, they don't have a grasp of anything that's foundational. There's no wisdom in their soul to give their volition any instruction. They don't have a conscience filled with God's Word; it's a conscience filled with self, self-interest, with the Lie.

"Go back to Psalm 78 and see what Asaph, one of the prophets in Israel, says: [1] Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

[2] I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
[3] Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
[4] We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.
[5] For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:
[6] That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
[7] That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

"Notice where he gets this information--it's been passed down. Parents are put into your life to impart some generational memory and you know what's true of the simple? They’re void of any understanding of the purpose.

"Proverbs 14 says, [15] The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

[16] A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
[17] He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

[18] The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

"They 'believeth every word'; that’s their problem! They don’t test anything! They don’t evaluate anything; they’ve got no framework to do that.

"Proverbs 22: [3] A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

"The simple guy says, ‘I just want to have what I want!’ and doesn’t consider the danger. He just wants his own interests, and when you’re simple and you believe anything that comes down the pike, you don’t investigate anything, you don’t have any frame of reference, you become careless because of your ignorance.

"Somebody comes along and tries to show you proof otherwise, but you've already become so set in your ignorance. You are your own interest. That’s what sin does: ‘I want to have my gratification, my interests.' You don’t have the 'check' of a conscience fortified by God’s Word.

"Proverbs 9:8: [8] Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

"The simple, the ignorant become the ones who despise instruction because now they've gotten their way and can’t listen to any counsel.

Proverbs 15:12: [12] A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

"The scorner just can't take advice; they're never wrong. They don't want to know the truth. They're going to turn away from it.

"Here's the problem. Proverbs 21:24: [24] Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

"He says, 'I'm not going to do that! That's not my way!' Or, 'I'm not listening to that; I know better than you do!' That proud wrath carries them into being fools. That's the ultimate end. That progression leads to the generation that accepts the Antichrist."
