At
the start of Psalm 10, a whole psalm dedicated to the Antichrist, it says, [1] Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself
in times of trouble?
[2] The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
[2] The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
“The
Believing Remnant’s going to look and see the Antichrist rising and say 'Lord, where you at? What are you waiting on?’ " explains Jordan.
“Dozens of times through the minor prophets the text will refer to the poor, but it’s not talking about some folks on Lower Wacker
living in a cardboard box. It's a specific reference to a specific
group of people at a specific time.
“Jesus
said, ‘The poor you have with you always.’ Well, that’s a truism in the sense
it’s the common lot of mankind, but these poor result from the persecution in the time of Jacob’s trouble. If you
don’t take ‘the mark of the beast’ what happens to you? You can’t buy, you can’t
sell. You can’t own property; you can’t divest yourself of property.
“They
kings are literally going to take the wealth from the people in the nations
they control and make them poor. They’re going to use Israel and the Gentiles
in those nations and suck the wealth out through corrupt money, corrupt
government, corrupt policies. The Wicked’s going to oppress the poor; going to
persecute the Believing Remnant and let them be taken in the devices they have
imagined.
“Now, Psalm 10:3 explains why the Antichrist’s called the ‘foolish shepherd’: [3] For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth
the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
“It’s
the greed that’s driving him; the will to be rich. If you go to Ezekiel 28,
you’ll see that when Satan starts out, that prince of Tyre and king of Tyre is the man of sin and the son of
perdition, and the whole object there is to get rich.
“Psalm 10:4 says, [4] The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not
seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. Some people say
of that verse that he’s going to be a real good-looking dude like a
Fabio and maybe that’s true. There’s a passage in the Book of Job, though, that tells
you that might not be exactly right.
“When
you talk about a person's countenance, you’re talking about how somebody looks and
that’s how you find their identity. This guy’s going to be proud of who he
thinks he is; who he portrays himself to be.
“Verses
5-6 explain, [5] His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above
out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
[6] He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
[6] He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
“It’s
always ‘as a man thinketh in his heart.’ He’s got a heart problem. ‘The fool hath
said in his heart there’s no God.’

"Verse 7 says, [7] His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.

"Verse 7 says, [7] His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
“What does he tell them? He makes a covenant with Israel but then breaks it. Isaiah calls it ‘your covenant with death
and hell, your refuge of lies.’
"Israel believes him, but he’s a liar. He’s deceitful. Psalm 10:8 says, [8] He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
"Israel believes him, but he’s a liar. He’s deceitful. Psalm 10:8 says, [8] He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
“He
doesn’t do it publicly but the thief comes to kill and destroy. That’s what
he’s doing. Just sucking the life out of them. Verses 9-11 say, [9] He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in
wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his
net.
[10] He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
[10] He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
[11] He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth
his face; he will never see it.
“The
guy’s deceptive. He says in his heart, ‘God's forgotten; He'll never see it. I’m going to get away with it!’ That’s the idea.
“Now,
having described how the Wicked’s thinking, the Believer says, ‘[12] Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the
humble . . .
[15] Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.'
[15] Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.'
“The
Believers are going to hiding in secret places like Revelation 12 and Matthew
24 talk about. Isaiah 26 says God’s going to hide them and the Antichrist is
going to be chasing them down everywhere.
“Psalm
36 says about this guy, [1] The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that
there is no fear of God before his eyes.
[2] For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
[3] The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.
[4] He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.
“He’s
going to present himself one way, but he’s the Lie. I mean, the
guy just lays in bed trying to figure out ways to deceive people. He’s totally
consumed with destroying God’s plan and he’s willing to just completely deceive
at every turn. He’s treacherous in his dealings with Israel.”
