TBA: Antichristfest music lineup

The Antichrist will use music to gain worshippers and promote his agenda. Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar, a picture-type of the Antichrist, employed loud, beat-driven music to engender the mass idolatrous worship of his “beast” image by the rulers of the nations—it’s judges, police, politicians, etc.

When Daniel and his three Hebrew compatriots—Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego—were about to be cast into a fiery furnace, Nebuchadnezzar implored, as Bible scholar Noah Hutchings writes, "I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’ll have the band play my song one more time, and if you fall down and worship the image, we will forget all about this first offense. But if you are still stubborn and refuse to worship the image, when the last note is played I will order the guards to overpower you and throw you into the furnace."

“We notice in these last verses that the musical portion of this false and idolatrous worship service is stressed twice again," observes Hutchings.

Norwegian author Berit Kjos presents this excerpt from her book, “How to Protect Yourself from the New Age and Spiritual Deception”:

“Man's attempts to transcend the boundaries of the physical world through music are intricately interwoven with the history of mankind. While God encouraged His people to enter His presence through genuine worship and songs of praise, Satan offered seductive counterfeits.

“Thus, pagan societies used music as a conduit to help them connect directly with the occult spirit realm. Neville Drury, who promotes New Age meditation and visualization in his book, Music for Inner Space, points to ancient cultures as models for today:

" ‘In societies where magic and myth define and influence everyday existence man aspires to be like the gods and to imitate them.... [Magical] incantations and songs are a source of Power.’

“In primitive Africa and South America, witch doctors function as mediators between the tribe and demonic spirits. The sacred drum (credited with magical powers) together with hallucinatory drugs (sorcery) induces trances, which transports him into the spirit world where he receives occult guidance and power.

“Nanci des Gerlaise, author of Muddy Waters, is the daughter and granddaughter of Cree medicine men. Now, as a believer in Christ, Nanci warns others about the occult music in Native Spirituality:

" ‘Now when I hear powwow music, my spirit recoils, and I know that it is because there are spiritual forces of darkness at work.' "

My church, Shorewood Bible Church, is located in Rolling Meadows, IL. Interestingly enough, Pete Townshend, the brains behind the Who, recalled in his 2012 autobiography, Who I Am, that he stayed “in a room of a Holiday Inn in an Illinois town called Rolling Meadows.”

He wrote of this self-proclaimed monumental experience (in the late ’60s), “I heard the voice of God. In an instant, in a very ordinary place at an unexceptional time, I yearned for some connection with a higher power. This was a singular, momentous epiphany—a call to the heart. Why did God favor this particular place in America? Because it was so new? Because it was so sunny? Suddenly it became clear that I longed for a transcendent connection with the universe itself and with its maker. This was the moment I had longed for. My mind was being set alight by the psychedelic times, but revelation came to me in the quietude and seductive order of Middle America.”

Townshend admitted once in an interview, “When I am on the stage I am not in control of myself at all. I don’t even know who I am. I am not this rational person where I can sit down and talk to you. If you walked on stage with a microphone in the middle of a concert I’ll probably come close to killing you.”

John Lennon, who readily confessed he “made a deal with the devil” and referred to himself as a “hollow temple in which the spirits inhabit me,” once explained, “When the real music comes to me it has nothing to do with me ’cause I’m just a channel. It’s given to me and I transcribe it like a channel.”

Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones once told The Los Angeles Times that his song, Demon, was biographical and that he himself was possessed by four or five demons. In Demon, Richards declares, “It’s such a mess. Demon in me, demon in me. It’s living’ in me, the demon in me.”

Jim Morrison of The Doors believed he was a sort of shaman for spirits to use him for his music, according to the book, Break on: The Life and Death of Jim Morrison. Morrison’s producer, Paul Rothschild, said the most pivotal part of the singer’s life was in Venice Beach “when this spirit entered him, an intense visitation of energy.”

The Door’s photographer, Frank Lisciandro, was quoted in the book stating, “Jim drank to quiet the ceaseless clamor of the demons, ghosts and spirits. He drank because there were demons and voices and spirits shouting inside of his head and he found that one of the ways to quell them was with alcohol.”

Angus Young, lead guitarist for AC-DC, nicknamed the “guitar demon,” admitted to Hit Parader magazine once “that something takes control of the band during their concerts: it’s like I’m on automatic pilot. By the time we’re halfway through the first number someone else is steering me. I’m just along for the ride. I become possessed when I get on stage.”

"Elvis Presley is believed to have been demonic possessed," according to a website. "He openly admitted that he was used by a hierarchy of spirit beings. People who knew him personally said he had occult powers.

"Prince admitted he has 2 other people living inside him [really evil spirits] and that he changed his name to Formerly Known as Prince because he didn’t know what the spirits wanted to call him."

Ozzy Osbourne told Hit Parader in 1984, “I really wish I knew why I’ve done some of the things I’ve done over the years. Sometimes I think that I’m possessed by some outside spirit. A few years ago, I was convinced of that – I thought I truly was possessed by the devil. I remember sitting through ‘The Exorcist’ a dozen times, saying to myself, ‘Yeah, I can relate to that.’ ”

“Every piece of living creation has music to it; has a vibration—that’s what music is,” says Richard Jordan. “Music is really just math in regard to the tonal vibrations.

“When the Bible says back in Ezekiel 36 about the trees singing, well, they literally do. Music is so engrained in the creation that it’s everywhere.

“Music is called the universal language. You can thoroughly affect people with music. One of the most dangerous things that happens with your children is the music they listen to, because it communicates ideas and you don’t even need to have words to go along with it.

“Listen, baroque music is considered to be the highest form of musical expression, but Mozart was an ungodly wreck. They’ve done experiments where if people have Mozart in the background, they actually do better in their learning curve. You think, ‘Oh, that must be godly music.’ You ought to go find out something about Mozart!

“Music is not an issue of sacred and secular. Lazy Christians have made secular and sacred out of life, but you don’t have a sacred life and a secular life; you only have a life in Christ, and in the Bible music is music. It’s not church music and ‘Saturday-night-boogie-oogie-woogie’ music.

"As Job 22: 15-17 says, 'Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
[16] Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
[17] Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?'

“What I’m trying to get you to see is God created music and from the Creation to the Flood, music didn’t go up, it went down and it degenerated from the Creation morning until it debauched the world and filled it with violence. They weren’t praising God; they didn’t want to know Him and He wound up wiping them out."

Lions and manipulation

News stories surrounding a mysterious massive fire on July 16 that destroyed the 2025 stage of Belgium's Tomorrowland Festival, renowned for its immersive electronic dance music (EDM) experiences, included pictures of the site following the blaze in which all that was left was a giant statue of a lion.

One article explained, "The stage, which was designed to embody the enchanting and frosty aesthetic of the White Witch’s castle from the Chronicles of Narnia, featured striking ice-coated towers and a majestic statue of a frozen lion."

If you remember, the Supernova music festival on October 7, 2023, where there was a massacre initiating attacks on Israel, had similar music. It was billed as "open-air electronic dance music."

From Rolling Stone magazine: "The (Supernova) gathering promised to be the highlight of the year, especially for those who loved psychedelic trance, or psytrance, the intense and celestial dance-music subgenre. '[The music] is based on a philosophy of life,' says veteran British DJ Martin Freeland, who performs as Man With No Name and was scheduled for late Saturday morning. 'It’s Woodstock with electronic music. It’s that kind of mentality: a hippie culture, but the music is different. These are the sweetest people. They would never harm anybody.' "

"On Friday June 13th, an auspicious date in Judaism, Israel launched Operation Rising Lion against Iran. Friends from Israel sent Shabbat messages featuring a lion reminiscent of Aslan in C.S. Lewis' Narnia stories," began an article by a Christian publication.

"There have been many lions in history: the Lion of Judah, Richard the Lionheart, the Cowardly Lion of The Wizard of Oz. However, the main traits associated with the lion is that they are both brave and generous, open-hearted and spirited. They may well be the 'King of the Jungle'. But to be the King of the Jungle, you have to take other people with you. A monarch needs subjects. Some monarchs know this, and others think they reign supreme through divine right.

"A true monarch trains from birth and is disciplined, open and wise. People aren't born like this; they are educated into it. That is what Mordechai told Esther and that is what the Jewish people have known for a very long time. And this is why Israel has called their operation 'Rising Lion' and associated this operation with the Narnia stories."

Satan, in one of his many counterfeits of Jesus Christ, is represented by a lion in the Bible. I Peter 5:8 warns, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

A "children’s book" that is a perennial bestseller is C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.”

While church groups get together to study this book they revere as some sort of wholesome allegorical story in which the heroic lion is a “Christ-figure,” it’s obviously a dark tale steeped in the Occult. If you ask me, it’d be more suitable to see Aslan as an allegory for the Antichrist. We know from Lewis’ Narnia myth that Aslan is resurrected from the dead.

In his book, “The Apostasy of the Christian Church,” Bible authority R. Dawson Barlow informs, “(Satan) is also called ‘a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The roaring lions, I have been told, are the old harmless lions (i.e. as harmless as a ‘baby’ lion), that roar and fuss so loudly they scare their prey into the clutches of the younger, more powerful and dangerous lions stalking nearby.”

The charitable group Lions Club International was founded by a Mason and has ties to Free Masonry, as well as Planned Parenthood.

As an article on the internet states, “Masonry, a secretive brotherhood, uses social clubs such as the Kiwanis International, Rotary International, and others as feeder organizations or recruitment centers to enlist new members in addition to referrals by their own members.

“At the top end of the secretive spectrum are three interrelated organizations that capitalize on their low key relationship with worldwide masonry. The founding group in Germany (Illuminati – University of Ingolstadt), the American group (Skull and Bones Society – Yale University.

“NOTE: George H. Bush, William Clinton, and George W. Bush are all members), and the English Group (Cecil Rhodes Scholars – Oxford University.  NOTE: The Prime Minister of England, Tony Blair, is a member of this group.) are interrelated. It is not surprising that Clinton and Bush have both been chummy with Blair.”

When Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den an angel went in just ahead of him and gave the lion lockjaw.  Daniel was actually able to make a pillow out of the lion and go to sleep all warm and comfy, safe in the knowledge that the ferocious beast wouldn’t bother him at all because an angel was encamped around him for safe-keeping.

Continue in prayer: 'Keep on keepin' on'

Prayer is that divinely appointed means of experiencing an intimate, personal relationship with a heavenly Father who loves you. It’s participating in His revealed plan in His Word to make His love known to a lost world through His people.

I Thessalonians 5:17: [17] Pray without ceasing.

Prayer is you talk to God about every aspect . . . you talk to God about all the things that on your heart. That’s why you pray about EVERYTHING, explains Richard Jordan.

Every detail of your life is brought into the consciousness of it being lived in the presence of God, and you bring it under the authority of God’s Word, under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

You do it by looking at the details of your life and saying, “Lord, here’s what’s going on in my life and here’s how I think about it. Lord, what does your Word say about it; how does your Word apply . . . ?”

Prayer literally becomes the breath of your inner man and it becomes the catalyst; it becomes the thing that catalyzes taking the truth of God’s Word in my experience and putting them together and making it my life. It’s a wonderful thing.

Colossians 4:2: [2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

When Paul says “continue in prayer,” what’s he’s talking about is CONTINUE in this intimate personal communion with a heavenly Father who loves you and demonstrated it completely and fully and established it forever in Christ, and wants more than anything that fellowship with you.

If God had wanted perfection, He would have stayed home. If He wanted you to be perfect, He knew you couldn’t and wouldn’t. That’s why He MAKES you perfect in His Son.

What He wants is your trust. He wants you to trust Him. He wants you to enter Him into your life in all of its details. Not having little areas over there that you’re going to keep for yourself. Not like that little hidey hole in the bottom desk drawer of life, but to take His life, His thinking and all of your life . . .

How do you do that? You simply contemplate every detail of your life in light of what His Word says. What great motivation that is! You say, “Here’s something going on in my life I have no idea what God’s Word has to say about it.” If you don’t know something, go look for it.

I’m interested in the Word because I want to know what God says about this thing in my life and I want to be able to get it myself. That’s what right division is all about. It has to do with the pursuit of God’s Word and the life of God in our life; of Christ as our life.

Paul says, “Continue in that.” When you continue in something, you endure in it, you persevere in it. You persist in it; you hold on to it and you don’t let it go. We used to say, “Keep on keepin’ on.”

All of your conscious thinking should be lived in a communion with God; the consciousness of His presence in your life. One of the things you do is train yourself not to talk to yourself. You talk to the ever-present Creator of the universe and you don’t wonder, “What’s God over there thinking about me?”

You know, when you go in a room, you’re real self-conscious. You’re thinking about what everybody else is thinking about you. Well, what are they thinking about? They’re thinking about what everybody else is thinking about them. They aren’t thinking about you; they’re thinking about themselves. That’s exactly what you’re doing!

But when you become friends with somebody, and you become intimate with them, and you get to know them, all of a sudden you’re not worried about what they’re thinking about you.

You want to talk to them and share yourself with them, and them with you, and welcome them into your heart. That’s what you’re to continue in; that’s what “continue in prayer” is. That’s why it’s the first thing you do.

The local assembly is to be a group of people in whom Christ is their life and that’s how He IS your life. That’s how you experience that.

Soon enough, it becomes just that consciousness, and all of your self-talk becomes not talk to YOU, but talk to Him. That’s how you activate the doctrine that’s in your heart, because the Holy Spirit takes that doctrine in your heart—your conscience takes it and the talk you’re doing and it will say “nah,” and it reproves and corrects and instructs in righteousness, and that’s called growth.

Paul says, “Not only continue in it but watch in the same.” That’s means be vigilant. You’re being alert, because Paul understood—God knows that there are always things to take your eye off the ball.

There are constantly things in your life to divert you away from that intimate fellowship that is your privilege with God the Father through Christ Jesus. Troubles come. Maybe it’s sickness. Maybe it’s just things: Heartaches, financial reversals, assaults from others, slander that comes your way. Misunderstandings, anxiety about something you’re trying to resolve.

All kinds of things that can come to ROB you of continuing, praying without ceasing, by getting your mind off, “Lord what are we doing here, and what will we do . . .” and onto self.

So Paul says, “Watch in the same with thanksgiving.” In Colossians, Thanksgiving is referred to more than in any other of Paul’s epistles. It’s a recurring theme.

Thanksgiving, that’s grace thinking. Thanksgiving is what keeps you awake and alert; it’s what keeps you watching. It’s what keeps you alert in your spiritual life.

Satan's bad looks = pass out from fright

In light of the high readership of my post from the other day about demonic locusts in the future, here is a related article and I will have a new post tomorrow:

The creatures that come out of the bottomless pit in Revelation 9 are in various stages of decomposition as part of their devolutionary development.

“The satyrs and dragons you read about in Isaiah 13 make uninformed people argue, ‘Ha-ha, your Bible can’t be real because we all know satyrs are mythological creatures,’ but this isn’t past history; this is future history, talking about supernatural creatures to come,” explains Richard Jordan. “It’s sort of like the stuff you find in Revelation 9.

“You’re not in the land of Palestine in Isaiah 13; you’re in Babylon. And in Babylon, over there where the Euphrates River is, is where those four angels were.

“In Babylon there’s also going to be a place where all these demonic creatures, and all these fallen angels, are gathered together during the Millennium in these degenerated forms to which they have devolved and there’s going to be an actual zoo where people can go and look at them.

“After the people from the nations of the earth come to worship at Jerusalem they’ll travel down the Kings Highway and be able to look down at the souls in hell ‘where the worm dies not, the fire’s not quenched.’

“The scary thing is that when Satan’s let out of that bottomless pit at the end of the Millennium, you know what the people of the earth do? They don’t say, ‘You sucker, we see what happens to the creatures—humans and angels alike—who follow you, so get out of here!’

“You know what they do—they jump on the pony and say, ‘Let’s roll, Clyde! Let’s go at it again!’ That shows you how depraved human nature is!

“Part of what Revelation 9 tells us about this degenerated condition of the fallen angels is ‘the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.’

“We’re told they’ve got the faces of a man, the hair of a woman and the teeth of a lion. I mean, these are some messed up dudes! They look like they’re in a scorpion shape but a scorpion looks like a horse. It’s a composite beast.

“They’re a combination of a horse, a man, a woman, a lion and a scorpion all combined into one creature! Now, that is a deformed, degenerated looking kind of thing. That’s the same thing we were looking at back in Isaiah with the dragons and satyrs.

“These creatures are in the bottomless pit suffering the ultimate consequences of sin. Just as unsaved humans literally go back to the form of a worm—degenerating back into the lowest form of life—it’s as if these creatures in the spirit world are back in that same kind of devolving state.

“Notice these creatures take on the appearance of beasts. These are not lovely, sweet, wonderful kind of characters that you want your daughter to bring home to meet dad, or your sons to bring home to eat turkey dinner with your mother. These are not appealing kind of creatures.”

In the Book of Job, the oldest written book in the Bible, God talks to Job about this same future detailed in the Book of Revelation. There are some fascinating details in Job 38-42 about how God, from the outset—I mean, this is first book written—lays out how He’s going to take care of this character in the end.

“Job 40:15-18: ‘Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.’

“You ever seen an ox with a tail that can move things like that? It says the tail’s going around like a cedar. That’s like if you took a telephone pole and had a tail—he just knocks everything down.

“You ever seen an ox tail; it’s a little-bitty twisted up thing. So this is a funny-looking ox. ‘Behemoth’ is an untranslated word. It says, ‘the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.’ The guy’s a supernatural creature!

“The passage says, ‘He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.’

“From Job 41, which says, ‘Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook?’ you find out leviathan’s a seven-headed dragon. A behemoth is a beast made up of a lot of other beasts and that’s the Antichrist.

“If you turn to Revelation 13:1 you’ll see there’s a bear, a lion and a leopard. He looks like a leopard, but he’s got the feet of a bear and the mouth of a lion, and this dragon gives him his power. So the Antichrist is presented as a composite of a leopard, a bear, and a lion.

“In Job 40 (with the behemoth) we’re talking about the Antichrist, and then when you get to 41 we’re talking about the dragon, leviathan, and that’s Satan.

“Now, if you go down to Job 41:9, as he describes Satan through here and asks Job questions about what Satan’s doing, he says, ‘Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?’

“That’s saying if Satan stood here tonight in front of us, and you could see into the spirit world and literally see him, it would scare you so bad you’d pass out from the fright.

“Among the prophetic visions laid out in Daniel 7, Daniel has a dream in which he sees a leopard, a lion and a bear in one. Daniel looks out there into the future and he’s now looking at the ‘end time.’

“Daniel says, “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
[8] I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.’

“That little horn turns out to be the Antichrist, so these four beasts represent kingdoms in the earth. You’ve got three—the leopard, the lion and the bear—and then you’ve got one you can’t even describe it’s so bad-looking. And that’s the one the Antichrist comes from.”

Ultimate dystopian nightmare

"I'm telling you, everybody's wrong; technology will be long dead by the time we get to the half-way point of the tribulation," said Orlando preacher Joel Hayes on his podcast (through Fellowship Bible Church). "There's no way there could be a connection between technology today and the mark of the beast.

"Just consider some of these judgments that take place before we even get to the mark of the beast. We're talking multiple global earthquakes, balls of fire thrown out of heaven. You have hail that's literally on fire, mingled with blood. Global hail that's on fire, not to mention all the other hail that's coming our way.

"You have the heaven departing as a scroll in Revelation 6:14: [14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

"That has to mean that all those satellites around the earth are going to be obliterated. That would surely destroy them.

"You have the sun turning to black, the moon turns blood red, the stars fall from heaven, all grass burns up, a lot of trees are gone. The water turns to blood and let's not forget the freaky locusts with stingers getting into everything.

"Last but not least, have we not forgotten about the 200 million fiery horses from heaven shooting fire and brimstone out of their mouths? There's no way technology's going to survive all that. Cities are going to be burned to the ground, buildings gone, power grids gone, satellites gone. 

"People ask, 'Okay, Joel, but don't you think that all this technology is at least a conditioning today for people to accept the mark of the beast when it's implemented maybe in the near future?' No way.

"Just think about all the horrors I just listed that all these people are going to be going through. In just the first 14 judgments of God alone, any conditioning to their thinking will be long gone by then.

"Many of these people are going to be a perpetual state of shock, trauma. A lot of these unbelievers are going to be angry at God, doubling down on their rebellion against Him.

"Think about the simple concept that without the mark you can't buy or sell. You don't need a conditioning of your thinking today to understand that concept tomorrow. Millions of people over the years have understood that concept long before any of these wonderful technologies ever existed. 

"So, if technology will be dead by the mid-way point, how will people get the mark? When we first started the podcast three years ago I used to propose, 'Well, how is it that the entire world is going to see the dead bodies of those two witnesses over the course of three days?'

"That's Revelation 11:9: [9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

"I thought, 'Oh, the cell phones! Clearly that's how everybody's going to be able to see those two dead bodies.' But after having taught that whole trib series I don't think that way anymore. Why? Because technology is going to be very dead by the time those two witnesses are killed.

"Well, then how is it that people from around the world are going to see the dead bodies of the two witnesses? You remember the tempting in the wilderness and the third temptation? Satan took the Lord up to the top of a high mountain and what did Luke 4:5 say? [5] And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

"They didn't go to the tall mountain and were able to SEE all the kingdoms of the world that existed at that time. He showed the Lord all the kingdoms of the world in a MOMENT of time, and I would argue it was a supernatural spiritual presentation of all the kingdoms, beginning to end.

"Even Satan in the interim, I think, could see a little bit into the future. They knew the kingdoms that were going to be coming. How else can you explain the demons who possessed the soothsayers? The woman in Acts was able to predict the future and with great accuracy because of the spirit of divination she had been given, which was a demonic spirit that had the ability to see some things in the future.

"I think that's what Satan did with the Lord at the top of that mountain. He showed the Lord this big old gigantic supernatural presentation with spiritual special effects and the Lord still rejected that temptation.

"So, by the time we get to the mid-way point of the tribulation, I think everything that happens will be spiritual; demonically empowered. In fact, not technological at all because technology will be dead.

"Well, how is it that people around the world are going to be able to get the mark of the beast in such a short period of time before God begins to carry out His final seven judgments? The answer is the image of the beast.

Revelation 13:[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

"That 'he' in the verse is talking about the false prophet; the context bears that out. He's the one who will have the power to give life unto the image of the beast. He's the one who establishes this global environment to worship the image of the beast; to worship the falsehood of everything he claims to be and now everything Satan, the Antichrist and the false prophet do, they do together as one unit, mimicking the godhead.

"But in verse 16 it's the false prophet who's primarily put in charge of implementing the mark of the beast. Why? Because taking the mark is more of a religious agreement then anything political or economic.

"By accepting that mark, you've entered into a religious commitment to worship the image of the beast; to worship the beast himself and all the falsehoods of everything the beast claims that he is.

"Oh, and you'll also be able to buy and sell, but that's really secondary. What's primary is your commitment to worshipping the beast. The bigger point is that having yourself marked with 666 is just a number of identification.

"By taking that mark of 666 you are consciously identifying yourself with the Antichrist and by extension Satan, which makes you a target of God's wrath and dooms your soul forever.

"Look at Revelation 13: 14-15: [14] And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

[15] And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

"To me this more terrifying than anything you're going to read about the mark of the beast. I mean, this is the ultimate dystopian nightmare. The false prophet tells everyone on Planet Earth to make an image to the beast. An image is merely a representation. A little statue, a picture, a painting, an idol of some kind.

"They will have to make a statue, draw a picture, hang it in your house, whatever. Some kind of representation of the beast that's in your possession.

"And then what does verse 15 tell us? The uncomfortable truth is that the false prophet forces everyone to create idols of the Antichrist and then the idols will come to life. Basically, it's like a demonically empowered version of Alexa in your home.

"Through that idol, now miraculously brought to life through the demonic powers of the false prophet, you now have the eyes, ears and mouth of Satan in your home. You have the entire demonic realm observing everything you do, everything you say. And that idol will speak to you if you're not living the way he wants you to live.

"If you suddenly have a change of heart, if you're sick of that dystopian nightmare and stop worshipping the beast, you will be killed by the image of the beast. It's not that the false prophet is going to send a bunch of guys to your house to kill you; the idol itself will kill you through the demons. That's what the verse says.

"If you aren't faithful to the beast and you don't worship that image every time you walk through your home--if you don't sing the praises of the Antichrist every time you speak, the idol itself will kill you.

"Just imagine an Alexa strapped with a machine gun ready to kill you the moment you misspeak. That's what's going on here. And if the image of the beast can demonically come to life and talk to you and kill you, then the image of the beast can also demonically give you that mark of the beast."

While Moses smote Egypt with a plague of locusts, the prophesied plague of locusts found in the Book of Joel looks at something much broader than just bugs; it’s a pestilence in the land of Israel during the tribulation that will thoroughly decimate the land.

“These locusts that come out then are not physical locusts; they’re locusts in a spirit form,” explains Richard Jordan. “I love in Leviticus where it talks about how a locust is clean if he’s a bald-headed locust. “Actor Robin Williams killed himself; hung himself on a closet door and he had all kind of personal problems. One of them was money problems. You and I think, ‘How can a guy who has a TV series who’s making $165,000 for a 30-minute show have money problems?’ Well, one way is his second wife divorced him and got $30 million and he’s trying to pay that off. That’s beyond my ability to relate.

“But when you’re that kind of a bipolar guy that he was, you torment yourself internally . . . Now, these guys are being tormented externally and internally to the place they want to die—they’re in such misery that they cry out to die and God won’t let them die.

“That’s the situation being described when Joel begins. It’s this total devastation that’s going to be brought on the land before Christ comes. Because when you finish this chapter, in the next chapter you have the armies of God show up at the Second Advent and then in the third chapter, you have God going out and destroying all the Gentile nations that came against Israel.

“Joel is just one blast of destruction so that in the latter part of chapter 2, he can say, ‘By the way, there’s going to be a believing remnant that I’m going to save out of that,’ and so what he’s doing is demonstrating to Israel is how they can be delivered out of the devastation through the Messiah.

“In other words, the fifth course of judgment is coming. Joel is looking prophetically to the last phase of it. Verse 7 says, ‘He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.’

“You remember we studied Isaiah 5 the vineyard is a picture of the nation Israel? Israel is described as a vine tree and a fig tree. When you bark a tree, you kill it. You cut the bark off around it and it’s going to die.

“He says, ‘You drunkards, cry, weep, howl; you’re cut off.’ All of the luxuries you’ve had . . . . and you know we’ve talked to you about drinking and drunkenness in the Bible and it’s like that stuff we were studying in I Timothy 3 when Paul tells you the elders are not to be given to wine.

“The idea is if you need external stimulants to get through life, then you’re not dealing with life in any kind of a real sense because as soon as the external stimulants don’t work, you don’t have a path to deal with life.

“These guys here, He’s telling the drunkards they’re to wail because they’re going to lose all the things that we’re giving them cover.

“They’re not crying because they’re losing their basic necessities. He doesn’t say, ‘Cry because you don’t have clothes or food.’ They’ve lost that too; they’re crying because they don’t have the luxury of blinding their mind to it. There’s nothing to cover their misery.

“Verse 9 says, ‘The meat offering and the drink offering is cut off from the house of the LORD; the priests, the LORD's ministers, mourn.’

“When that stuff is cut off from the house of the lord, in Daniel 8 and 9, the Antichrist starts the daily sacrifice and he cuts it off in the midst of the week. So what you’re reading here is some stuff that’s looking toward this judgment that’s coming on Israel in the middle of the week.

“ It says ‘the priests mourn.’ Why would they mourn? Well, because the sacrifice and the meat offering and drink offering is cut off. How did the priests get their compensation?

“In Israel they were to tithe. But they didn’t tithe money; they tithed corn, wheat, figs, produce. They tithed cattle. You bring a sacrifice, you kill a bullock, and the priest got the meat to eat and that’s when the Bible talks about ‘bring all the tithes into the storehouse.’

“They literally had a warehouse to store all these provisions so the priesthood could be financed. And so the priest is going to mourn because his income’s cut off.

“He says, ‘I’ve talked to the drunkards and I’ve talked to the people worshipping; let me tell you farmers something: howl, O ye vinedressers.’

“All of the ability to produce food and sustenance for the nation--that’s why the Antichrist says, ‘You take the mark of the beast or you can’t buy or sell.’

“Somebody says, ‘Well, why don’t we have a Victory Garden?’ Because the land’s been put in a place where it isn’t going to grow you a garden. That’s why they wind up fleeing to the wilderness where God then has to feed them with the manna.”

"Red represents blood and the second tactic is international unrest outside of the nation of Israel. He's a man of war and he's going to fight . . . We saw in the Book of Daniel, the north is involved and the south is involved, Egypt, and then you have the ships of Chittim, the West gets involved and he's going to repel that naval attack. "Obviously the economic effect will benefit the unbeliever, but the result is the persecution of God's little flock; remember the Lord Jesus Christ said, 'Blessed are they that persecute you.'

[7] And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

"The Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who's worthy; He pops those seals. Again, it's the Lord Jesus Christ who commences these events through the instrumentality of this man of sin, the rod and staff of God's indignation against a hypocritical nation.

[8] And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

"When somebody's pale that indicates lack of blood flow. We have in this fourth horse a religious policy that the Antichrist is launching at the start of the 70th Week. Paleness represents lack of blood and you understand animal sacrifices in the history of Israel's religious life. You know how an animal was offered; the blood was drawn.

"Remember you have this individual who is riding and controlling these horses. One individual representing four interesting aspects of his policy of evil. How many representations of the Lord Jesus Christ do we have of His earthly ministry? Four. We're talking about this great impostor and we're going to see almost under every rock how this guy mimics the Lord Jesus Christ.

"The Lord Jesus Christ is represented in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. There are four specific aspects that correlate with who He is in His person: the king, the man, the servant and God. Well, you have this imposter, the Antichrist, who has four representations of his tactics and policy of evil.

"When we look at these verses, Death and Hell (with capitals because they're both personified) is a representation of the religious system. He's a religious man and the apostate nation of Israel, they're going to love him.

"If you're not a participant in this religious system you'll be persecuted with sword, death, famine and beast. There are consequences in rejecting the religious system.

"Remember Daniel? He was a scientist who participated in that Babylonian kingdom UNTIL he was ordered to bow down and worship the false god.

"What makes this religious system so deceptive is it's nothing but a reheated version of the law of Moses and the temple worship and the animal sacrifices that are all biblical.

"You know why the little flock better rightly divide the truth during the 70th Week? You have those religious people saying it's back to Moses, back to Deuteronomy, and they're doing everything that that Old Testament teaches. If they fail to rightly divide the word of truth they're going to be victimized.

"If the little flock says, 'Oh wait a minute, Genesis through Malachi, it's all Scripture, right?'  . . . And here you have this temple rebuilt in Jerusalem. If you don't rightly divide the word of truth it could lead to your eternal destruction. So right division is going to save a lot of lives during that tribulation period."
